"Accountability"

A big word with a simple meaning.

For that which we have taken responsibility we shall be held accountable.  As the assumed "superior" species we are totally accountable for those animals we accept the responsibility for.

If we are not willing to shoulder accountability then we should not assume the responsibility.       Ray Hill

About Us

Ray and I have always been dog lovers.  Neither one of us had ever been allowed to have a dog as a child so the first thing we did when we got married was to buy a dog, who coincidentally had been born on our wedding day.  That dog was a yellow Labrador we named Rufus and it was to become the start of a life-long love with the breed.  We especially liked the English’s broad head and stockier body but it was to be some years before we bought another.

Some years ago we did breed one of our dogs but the timing just wasn’t right – nor was the dog.  While she was a pretty dog she just didn’t have the right pedigree.   Additionally, we were both busy – way too busy back then.  We both had careers and I was also going to college.  The kids were young and there was just too much to do.

Ray has since gone into semi-retirement and the dream of breeding English Labradors has never left us.  It was time, we thought, to do something about it.  This time around we both have more time to devote to the breeding of these wonderful dogs.  Our dogs are raised in our home, which is located on 6.5 acres in Marion county, Ohio where the dogs can explore the creek and swim in the ¾ acre pond.

Our passion is not only to breed Labradors but to improve the breed with every generation.  We will only breed top quality dogs and we will only sell to quality owners, as our mission statement states.

A dog should be a part of a family and treated with the utmost respect.  That’s why we only sell our puppies with a limited registration.  Our dogs will only be sold to loving families who will take care of the puppy as we do our own.

As a dedicated hobby breeder we hope, in time, to increase the number of dogs we breed while at the same time increase our reputation as a quality English Labrador breeder.  We are happy to give advice on any number of issues from crate training, good nutrition and behavioral training.  If you have any questions about the breed or are interested in owning a quality dog for your family, please give us a call or email us.  We’ll be happy to help you in any way we can
